Our names are Jesus Laurel and Manuel Laurel. We are first-generation Mexican American filmmakers& writers, As long as we can remember, we’ve told stories through many forms, including comic books, photography, and film. 

We come from a documentary background and are currently writing our first feature-length film. We are very influenced by Chicano filmmakers like Gregory Nava and Luis Valdez, writers such as Hirokazu Kore-eda and Richard Linklater. At the core of our work is a desire to tell personal stories rooted in our cultural background while creating opportunities for underrepresented voices in an industry that often overlooks us.
